WaterGuard Refill is offline
Refill safety behaviour when the cloud connection is interrupted
WaterGuard Refill requires working communication with the myCistern cloud:
WaterGuard → Wi-Fi/LAN → Internet → myCistern cloud
If cloud communication is unavailable for an extended period, WaterGuard enters a safe state after a safety timeout:
- The switching outputs are automatically deactivated.
- An automatic refill already in progress is not continued.
- A new automatic refill cannot run normally.
- The refill unit is no longer controlled.
Safety function, not a design fault
This behaviour is intentional. Without cloud communication, it cannot be guaranteed that required remote-control and safety interventions are possible.
Once Wi-Fi, the internet and cloud communication are restored, WaterGuard detects the connection, leaves the safe state and resumes automatic operation by itself. No user interaction is required – neither a manual reset, restart nor error reset is necessary solely because of a temporary cloud outage.
