Important safety information for your myCistern WaterGuard device
Read this safety information carefully before installing and operating your WaterGuard device. Keep it for future reference.
Installation
- Work on electrical equipment may only be carried out by qualified personnel. If you are unsure, seek professional advice and do not work on the device.
- Do not carry out repairs yourself or dismantle the device beyond the steps explicitly described in an instruction.
- Do not connect the device to power until instructed during the installation procedure. Ensure your hands and work area are dry.
- The WaterGuard Controller must not be installed in the cistern dome or submerged. The power supply and main unit are not suitable for outdoor use.
- Install the controller in a dry location, protected from excessive moisture, wetness and direct sunlight – ideally in a utility room, a watertight garden shed or a weather-protected shelter.
Configuration
- A factory reset only removes the Wi-Fi credentials stored on the device. Once the device is connected to Wi-Fi again, configuration data stored in the cloud is retained. To remove all data, also delete the device in the myCistern cloud.
