Getting Started

This guide walks you through the first steps with your WaterGuard device, from unboxing to initial setup.

What's in the Box

Your WaterGuard package contains the following items:

WaterGuard Refill

• WaterGuard Refill main unit
• 24 V DC power supply
• Mounting bracket with screws and wall plugs
• Sensor cable (5 m)
• Quick-start guide

WaterGuard Level

• WaterGuard Level main unit
• USB-C power adapter and cable
• Mounting bracket with screws and wall plugs
• Sensor cable (5 m)
• Quick-start guide

System Requirements

Before proceeding with installation, ensure you have the following:

• Network: A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (802.11 b/g/n) with internet access
• Power: A nearby power outlet matching your device model
• Mobile device: A smartphone or tablet running iOS 15+ or Android 12+
• myCistern account: Required for device registration and remote access
• Cistern access: Clear access to the top of your cistern for sensor installation

Download the myCistern App

The myCistern app is available on both major app stores:

• Download for iOS — Requires iOS 15 or later
• Download for Google Play — Requires Android 12 or later

Alternatively, you can access the myCistern dashboard via any modern web browser at mycistern.app.intellithings.io.

Create Your Account

1. Open the myCistern app or visit the web dashboard.
2. Tap Create Account and enter your email address.
3. Check your inbox for a verification email and click the verification link.
4. Complete your profile by entering your name and preferred language.
5. Your account is now ready for device registration.
